love where you live | A busy Mom Book Review
Shauna Pilgreen's book Love Where You Live book sparked my interest right away when I saw some early posts on Instagram. I originally thought it was a book about actually loving your home, your space in which you live...
This sparked my interest since I'm currently in a small house with my family of 6 in the state I prayed for but not at all the right area.
A quick look into the book and I realized this book isn't about loving the space in which you live but loving the people (family, neighbors, neighborhood, city... ) in which you dwell.
This was on my heart 2 years ago when I moved here, and still is but I did get discouraged when finding a church to be a part of and friends to love on proved difficult and I admit I've shrunk back, I've stopped trying.
This book has opened my eyes to that feeling again, that real truth....
We are where we are for a reason.
Gods purpose, and this book is showing the next steps to take in LOVING where I live.

Thirsty For More by Allison Allen | A Busy Mom Book Review
Desert Season: when your walk with God feels a bit.....dry, arid, not existent??
We've all either been there, are there, or will be there someday.
This book helps you see this hard place as a place, actually, maybe desirable.
We all have heard:
"... but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
perseverance, character; and character, hope.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. "
Allison Allen has connected the dots in this book for us.
She shares her research, her trials & some amazing insight.
I recommend this book for not just the people in a desert now*, but all... because while we may not think we need it currently.. more than likely we will soon & I'm positive someone you know & love could benefit from you sharing your copy as well <3
*This book is helping me through a desert season right now.
Understanding how important and appointed desert walks can be, and that blessings are within and through it have really helped me SO MUCH!

River To Redemption by Ann H. Gabhart | A Busy Mom Book Review
As a mom of 4, including a 3 month old that needs a lot of this:
I can have a hard time finding the time to read. I love to read and have multiple books going at any time and lately all I've been reading have been mommy, parenting & Christian woman lifestyle books.
I can't remember the last FICTION book I've read (It might of been The Giver 2 years ago when I read it with my son) I wanted to add more fiction to my stack, but just never gravitated toward them when buying books. I decided to challenge myself to pick ONLY a fiction book to review this month & The River to Redemption caught my eye.
I LOVE that it has a historical background. I love that it is based on real events & people.
I was sucked into the story from the get go. And although it still took me almost all month. I was grabbing at this book any spare moments I had (it took a lot of separate moments!)
Set in the early 1800's during a documented cholera outbreak set in a little town in Kentucky.
The characters had me invested from the beginning.
Such a great story of Faith, Perseverance and Redemption.
By the end I was left satisfied the story yet wanted more.... I never wanted it to end!
I appreciate such a great story by such a great author, and a great message.
Simple yet most everlasting takeaway: Pray Believing
